Synopsis: A nurse in a North London hospital is so moved by the death of a teenage Russian during childbirth that she tries to track down the newborn's family using a diary left behind by the mother. But she crosses the path of the powerful Votry V Zakone criminal fraternity, in particular one of their drivers, Nikolai.
